Some thoughts:

  • Add new panel in the Editor. Could be an overlay modal, or a new tab panel in the Assets Panel.
  • Allow search query, exposing various search parameters in the Sketchfab REST API. Ideally, restrict search to GLB format.
  • Ideally, transfer GLBs server to server (without having to download via the user's client).
  • Ideally, allow search+import for free CC0 models without needing login. Login could maybe be used by individuals wanting to access their purchases, say. Basically, we'd want to make it as frictionless as possible for new users, in particular.

Added @jiajasper since we'd need a slick design for this.
