As a sensible default, I would suggest purging log files as they reach a certain age, otherwise your disk usage will creep up and cause all sorts of havoc.

  • Keep daily for 14 days.
  • Keep weekly for 52 weeks.

We could also recommend shuffling logs to remote storage, but leave it to the developer to implement.
