If one uses the [podcastplayer feed_url=""] feature, does it inject data into the WordPress database?

This would be injecting data that already exists, we have hundreds of categories...

I tried the following
[podcastplayer fetch_method="post" post_type="post" taxonomy="category" terms="150292, 150291"]
also does not work, am I not understanding something?
