Unnecessary API call on shortcode embeds

For whatever reason the player does an API call to a playlist. Since shortcodes are most of the time used in environments without a publisher this is not necessary.

Will this bug ever be fixed? All of my episode-posts have this 404 error. Or can I do something else to remove the 404 error?

Unfortunately not. I didn't find time to implement it and I was hoping for community support.

Thank you for the reply. I don't know the plugin architecture, but wouldn't it be a workaround - until this is properly fixed - just to comment out the line with the api call to prevent a 404 error? Or can't this be fixed that easy? Where can I find the api call?
