A state for pokemon where they are "pending" being put into the living dex.
Example:
you have just caught a pokemon in Brilliant Diamond, but you have not yet uploaded it to HOME, but now you have caught 30 pokemon that haven't been put into home yet, so you are having trouble remembering if you actually caught it or not, you are already in a battle with it so you can't check your boxes.
Being able to set a pokemon to be "pending" would be very helpful, as you would easily be able to see when in a battle with a pokemon that it is one you don't have yet, so you can continue catching it, or if it IS one you have already caught, you can just run away.
And another state which would be "looking for", which is if you are planning to look for a bunch of different pokemon that are found near eachother, you can set them to the "looking for", which would show up on a separate list, so whenever you find your pokemon in, say, the grand underground, you can just look over at your list, see that it's on it, and then go and catch it. After which you should be able to set it to the "pending" state immedietly from the "looking for" list
