When searching in HLS streams ( when using firefox as a browser ) the player tends to "hang" after a couple of clicks on the timeline. We are seeing this same issue for paella 6.x as well. We can only reproduce this in Firefox ( on MacOS and Windows ), when using an HLS.js browser extension to directly play the m3u8 file in the browser there is no issue, searching works fine then.

The browser console shows no errors, warnings or anything like this.

Have you checked if the HLS is well set (with the GOP every two seconds and with a key frame for every GOP)?

That helps a lot with this type of mini-hangs. The other idea is to experiment with the HLS.js parameters in the paella configuration file.

Try to use also the HTTP Live Streaming Tools from apple.
