Can we adjust the left/right facing of broken beams in Verovio?

Apparently it can be forced in MEI data by adding breaksec="1"; but I am not sure what should be inputted in humdrum data in order to show the same thing:

I have submitted this problem to the verovio repository:

rism-digital/verovio#2518

This looks like something that should be easy to fix: if there is a rest on one side of the note with a flag, point the flag towards the rest, especially if the note on the other side has the same (or shorter) rhythm.
