Can't right-click current directory in Nautilus List View (when scroll bars are present) #62

This is a long-standing and very unfortunate problem in nautilus. We will have to think about how to fix it. |

Any current status on this? List view is very clumsy w/out rightClick, especially when compared to other OS' functionality. I can immediately think of three possible solutions to give access to the same menu that gets displayed in list view when you do NOT have scroll bars showing and right-click in the white space below the list), in decreasing order of (my) preference:
I'm hopeful that something can be done here in the near future. |

Upstream issue for this: https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/nautilus/-/issues/1929 Some upstream duplicates, which provide some info on the UX behind the current design: Note that right-clicking on the breadcrumb entry for your current folder seems to display the same options as right-clicking on an empty space within the folder, and is available in list view or icon view. |
