The current touchscreen control system for the iOS version of osu! is very bad in my opinion as playing streams is very hard and the notes get covered by the player’s hands. This is mainly because the design of maps has changed significantly from the old DS version of the game (which was meant to be played with a touchscreen stylus) and most modern maps are now designed to be played with a keyboard and mouse/tablet. That’s why I came up with this solution to emulate the keyboard and mouse controls from the PC version to the iOS version.
At the bottom of the screen there will be a PC controls bar which has the Mouse 1 and Mouse 2 keys as well as a box which controls the mouse movement. This box works sort of like a virtual tablet and the area on the section is absolutely mapped to the window.
This fixes the aformentioned issues as users can see notes without their hands covering them and streams are easier to do as players can once again play osu with two keys.I also feel that there should be an option in settings to disable PC controls since some people won’t like this sort of gameplay and new players might get confused by it and the PC version of the game should also have this since some people play on windows tablets.
