Currently https://github.com/prestodb/presto-hive-apache. does not support hive 4

It would be great to have a branch which supports hive 4.

We are ready to send the code drop if this is approved

This would unblock all presto adopters who want to use presto with hive4.

We can keep master still as hive3 so that it's a community decision to move to hive. I am requesting for a hive4 branch where we can send the hive4 version of this library

Hi @skairali!
Hive 4 is not released yet as I can see. Do you use latest currently available 4.0.0-alpha-2 version?
Could you please elaborate how you get it, deploy and use?

I am already using it.. Even though its alpha its well managed and well matured now

BTW... I am not the first one to ask. prestodb/presto-hive-apache#55

We have raised a PR to a new branch 4.0.x.

prestodb/presto-hive-apache#59

This could satisfy adopters for hive 4 such as prestodb/presto-hive-apache#55
