Automatically configure application using install generator

Are there ways we can make the installation easier for users by providing automatic configuration using a rake task?

@mejackreed What would the rake task do, exactly? Copy config settings into the implementer's catalog_controller.rb file? Would it take user input for the name of the fields or something?

I agree the config stuff is a bit complicated, but that's slightly intentional to support the different types of scenarios (storing GeoJSON in Solr vs. coordinates).
