Error on application startup when following quickstart tutorial

Hello

I am trying to follow the Quickstart guide but am struggling with the final step.

Everything seems to work fine and the application starts up, but when I then visit the localhost:3000/catalog page I get the following error

I have zero experience with ruby so not sure how to approach this. The error seems to occur while the blacklight library is loaded but there is no stacktrace shown within that library.

Context: I am using windows 11 and trying to run the app within WSL. Blacklight library seems to be version 8.1.0, I can see the following directories in /var/lib/gems......

blacklight-8.1.0
blacklight-marc-8.1.0

Hello, I recently joined this project
and am keen to contribute to the Blacklight project. I've observed that many issue tickets on GitHub haven't been updated this year. Should I proceed with one of these issues, or would you suggest a different approach?
