Issue details

I was trying to use the feature described in this blog post and I realized that it was not compatible with the automation API as I was going through it.

Hi @callicles. Thanks for opening an issue. I'll leave this issue open to track, but the actual fix needs to be in the automation API itself, along with documentation on how to generate and consume SDKs. I opened pulumi/pulumi#17220 to track the work in pulumi/pulumi.
