Sorry if this is a duplicate but i have browsed the first 3 pages of issues and didn't find a similar issue. Also I don't know the rihgt search terms for this question.

On the old Identi.ca and other StatusNet sites it was easy to find groups and people via the public stream or the popular posts and groups list. I see no such overview on the pumps I have visited. So If I don't know any people on those networks it's hard to know who is interesting to follow or what is going on. Did I miss some buttons, is this a feature yet to be implemented or is this overview left out by design?

In the meanwhile I found some posts of Evan on this subject but I hadn't read those when filing this issue. Thanks larjona for those helpful links.
