Each character in a tweet is wrapped in a span with display:inline-block to enable character rotation. To keep empty spans with whitespace from collapsing, the parent (#tweet) has a white-space property with value "pre-wrap". This fixes collapsing whitespace but means line wrapping logic disappears - lines are wrapped regardless of where word breaks are.
