Smooth scrolling (ctrl+arrow keys) is very slow on high repeat rates #663

When holding down ctrl+down arrow and using a high key repeat rate (mine: xset r rate 150 50), navigating larger distances smoothly is very slow:

I had a look around the code for zathura/girara to see if we could add an additional clause to handle this, but I couldn't find anything about it. Is it a feature that comes directly from GDK, and can something be done about it?
