JavaFX question

@vsquared, have you seen this JavaFX exception before? This is on a Windows machine. The modules and exports are all set to the correct directories, and all 7 modules are included.

I don't know how to fix this error message on Windows. There was a discussion about JavaFX on Windows in the forum:https://discourse.processing.org/t/processing-and-javafx/45692 . It was tested on Windows by one of the Processing editor authors and reported to work, but apparently one of the forum members did have problems and he elaborated what it took to make it run on that platform, which may or may not be helpful.
Addendum:
I just tested a couple of JavaFX demos on Windows 11 and they both ran ok, but apparently requisite JavaFX jar files need to be in a folder entitled 'code' in sketch folder.

the next release is at least going to let you get past this limitation on MacOS and Linux.

I can already run javafx in thonny with Imported mode for py5 using MacOS.

The modules are in a folder called 'jars' in the sketch folder. There's a bunch of 'lib...' files in there too, not sure how important they are. Using this technique and your Mac you should be able to run it also.

Oh, right, you are using JavaFX that way, by importing various classes directly, and linking them together. I was thinking of something more traditional:

    size(200, 200, FX2D)

def void draw():
    rect(mouse_x, mouse_y, 10, 10)

That's the same as what you'd do for JAVA2D or P2D, just with FX2D instead. Which is how it should work. Right now you can't do that.

The lib files are essential native libraries and Processing needs them for the above Sketch code to work. And all of it needs to be configured before the JVM is started, and imported mode doesn't give you a chance to do any of those things because the JVM is started before looking at your first line of code.

That's the way you have to do it with JavaFX.
I was thinking of something more traditional:
You can't use draw() with a javafx window, but you can also have a default Processing window which will allow you to use it. By making the size(200,200) with the FX2D renderer you are creating a default window. Normally I use size(1,1) so I can use the renderer and then set the size of the JavaFX window with the Scene.
