Reasons for the request

This project provides a convenient integration between of flake8 into the pytest test suite. However, the latest release of flake8 broke integration due to an internal change ( tholo/pytest-flake8#81 ).
I am using this tool in assorted production environments and hence I do have an intrinsic interest in keeping it operational.

There had been no activity on the project for over a year now.

I have attempted to reach the original owner via the email ( tholo@sigmasoft.com ) as well as via a LinkedIn message ( https://www.linkedin.com/in/tholo/ ). I did not receive a single response either way, hence raising this request.

I did get the current high-priority pull requests done, and pushed out a new release for that. But ...
