Find a great header image #6

I'll ask a photographer I know from Rapperswil 🙂 |
@href here's the full-res version of the drone shot: https://tmp.dbrgn.ch/_33_DJI_0010.jpg Lowres preview: License: Image sponsored by Boris. We're allowed to use it for the conference website. I offered a link on our website, and maybe a tweet to his exhibition where a print of that picture could be bought in an auction. @href we can probably recreate the mockup you did using CSS, right? |
Great, thank you! And yeah, CSS should not be a problem. I'm happy to do it, if nobody wants to do it instead. |
Sure, go ahead 🙂 |
I'll wait for as much content as possible though, before starting :) |
I guess this can be closed in favor of #2, right? |
Yeah |
The mockup of the new site for Pilatus and the old site share one thing in common: They both have a big photograph in the header:
Now I would only show this much of the image on the first page. After that it makes sense to cut down to something like the previously established height.
In any case, the old image is too dreary in my mind (we are moving this to the end of summer after all), so it would be great if we could get a really great picture from Rapperswil. I know you've retweeted some stuff rom the tourism board in Rapperswil or so @dbrgn, so maybe you have something we could use? I think a nice late-summer day picture would be best.
I tried unsplash already, to no avail.
