A new release was requested for PEP 696 behavior changes (#293). We also have some failures on the latest 3.13 alpha that may lead to complaints from redistributors.

I feel there are enough changes to warrant a feature release, not a bugfix release, but I'm also worried we'll need another release soon after if the implementation of PEP 696 in CPython leads to any fallout.

Still, it should be OK to do another release now.

Was the current status on this? Is anything still blocking the release?

The RC release is out now: https://pypi.org/project/typing-extensions/4.11.0rc1/. The final release will follow next week.

Have there been any issues reported for rc1? If not, would it make sense to do the final release now?
