I'm organizing a hackathon focused on BO for Chemistry and Materials, and there's been decent uptake on social media (Twitter 1, 2 and LinkedIn 1, 2). I'd love to have some of the Meta Adaptive Experimentation team (and others that come across this) get involved somehow! While the focus is on chemistry and materials science applications, I think many advanced BO techniques have really powerful applications for physics-based simulations and wetlab experiments. Prior chemistry/materials science knowledge is not a prerequisite.

Cross-post from https://github.com/facebook/Ax/discussions/2218 to give some more visibility, since I think a number of folks more focused on BoTorch rather than Ax would also be interested.
