monitor not available as input device #4
Comments
Until yesterday (before #3 was merged), the script was only creating a sink device (with monitor). Most programs excluded monitors from input list, but some (like OBS Studio) did not. Anyway, it was always possible to force-change input device for a program on pavucontrol Recording tab. However, the latest version (on master) should now also create a virtual microphone linked to that monitor. Could you try it? |
It's still not appearing as an input device, and the monitor dissapeared. And with this new version, the main audio is glitche, going up and down constantly. |
Have you tried stopping the script, running I hope the bug is not related to Fedora, but if it was, it would probably be either due to PipeWire, or due to newer PulseAudio & ALSA versions. I'll keep the issue open, hoping to find more people experiencing it. |
I tried killing all old processes and it worked. The virutal microphone is appearing OK, but now I'm having problems witht the android app, something similiar to what you described. It's not sending anything, Mumble marks as if I'm sending something, but there is no audio. I try the transmit mode as you suggested but it's not working |
You can also use mumla. |
mumble ios no longer maintained. so it keep crashing on ios once you try to connect from iphone. |
I'm using fedora 31, and I can see in
pavucontrol
the monitor, and It sounds correctly, but when I try to use it in any application it's not listed as an available device. Am I missing something? The text was updated successfully, but these errors were encountered:
