Suggestion

I am colorblind and cannot tell the difference between the orange and green states of the checkboxes. The check is also very much not obvious due to being white on bright colors. I effectively must magnify the screen and look back and forth between two instances of checked and unchecked to finally get my brain to discern the miniscule differences. This makes the UI very hard to use, especially in the Settings page. This color should be added to the UI colors that can be changed. Or allow the two states to be icons. Even making the checkmark black on top of green would solve this or making a Y/N or Check/X on top of the two colors. Thanks! I'll muddle along best I can, and hopefully not have to change the settings once I get them setup, but as a new user it makes me not want to use the client, despite it being the best out there!!!

Use case

The user is trying to change the state of options and other checkboxes and is colorblind.
The user looks at the checkboxes and cannot tell if they are checked or unchecked.
The user must go to inconvenient lengths to discern the difference.
This makes the user inconvenienced and possibly unable to use the UI or unwilling to use the client.

Extra info/examples/attachments

Roughly 8 percent of men and 0.5 percent of women have colorblindness. Red/Green colorblindness is the super majority. Green/Orange check/uncheck boxes are awfully close to Green/Red. A white check on top of these bright hues also makes the check invisible for those with more severe colorblindness (me). I hope this feature will help others out!!!

the orange and green states of the checkboxes

Default Fusion theme has nothing like that. What qBittorrent version? What OS and UI theme? Please elaborate with screenshots.

Sorry guys, it was my user error in a way. The reason I could not see the check mark and thought the boxes were changing color is that I had my Windows Accent Color set to Golden Yellow (GY), and when checked the introduction of the white check mark into the box made me think it was changing colors. I thought "green" was GY with the check and "orange" was GY by itself.

I have included screenshots of my UI as GY and my UI as the "Default Blue" which is Windows default Accent Color. For me, and maybe others, the accent color being the background color of the checkboxes means that above a certain brightness of color it becomes invisible against something like GY.

Could we make the font color changable? If I could swap it to black it would solve that issue, but then again, might make others, I would have to play with it. I don't see font color as an option in the Custom UI Theme options.

I am running Windows 10, details in pic. Running in Dark Mode.

On the Settings >> Color page where you set this Accent Color, there are two options at the bottom: "Start, taskbar, and action center," AND "Title bars and window borders". None of the 4 combinations of these settings changes the Accent Color being hte background for the checkboxes in qTorrent.

I consider this Resolved. I hadn't encountered Golden Yellow being an issue anywhere else using my PC, and had forgotten I even set that setting; must have been years/months ago. A separate request to be able to change the font color is appropriate for me to file, if it is not already changeable in qTorrent. Please let me know if it is, I have only just installed this and can't see it anywhere.

A known problem. Read #21526 (comment).
Also related to #21616.
