uYouEnhanced Discussion

This Discussion is about uYouEnhanced since I want people to have a ton of options. First of all uYouEnhanced will include LTS releases made for users who hate updating YouTube which one of them is (v16.42.3) but hopefully qnblackcat still provides updates for it as of writing this portion of my message in 2022. But other then that, there will also be extra features included with uYouEnhanced.

1. Despite that the name of all IPAs are the same (uYouPlus_v16.42.3_2.1.ipa). v16.42.3 always has the same features as v17.x (which was released with it)
2. Starting from the next update, I will not release v16.42.3

Also qnblackcat if you ever users to use the most recent version of uYouPlus in ”FAQ - Building”
then here’s this https://armconverter.com/decryptedappstore/YouTube and then after downloading the ipa from here you drag it to Dropbox and then you got yourself the current YouTube version just like me but this is just a good addition to the wiki since most people don’t want to build on 16.42.3 and some users always want to go up-to-date with their custom modified YouTube version

#169 I'm unable to delete anything in this issue or the whole issue itself. sorry for talking constantly in that issue and yes that issue was roughly used around patches or changes around the dumb tweak I made which was to remove every server-side element. but now I'm just deleting messages from any unnecessary issue just to keep uYou+ cleaner and more organized for you. sorry if I somehow sound mean. just felt like doing the right thing if those old messages/issues don't help.

Could an option to hide all short related content in the subscription feed be implemented? It would really help filter through unwanted content.

Ummm qnblackcat, watch out when updating to v18.09.4 of YouTube. There has been changes related to YouTube’s Rounded Search Bar and YouTube’s Darker Dark Mode. I first updated the app to see if it was temporarily but in that version, it is on by default so I would likely expect some theming options to not work in uYouPlus. Not talking about my forked repo‘s release. Just the plain and original uYouPlus released by YOU with that new version included.

Also I think PoomSmart shouldn’t be doing YouTube tweaks now in 2023, this is a suggestion for that dev to take a break from that stuff. No one ain’t gonna fully accept this idea but if PoomSmart takes a break, the dev can improve Thereselves, the dev called me “Annoying Foe” so it made me think that they deserve a break to eventually return to being a good dev as usual. Like I said This is just my suggestion if any of y’all deny then I at least making the developer be more peaceful for the future.
