19.29.1-3.04 and forward

Describe the issue

“Enable slide to seek” doesn’t seem to work on versions 19.29.1 and forward, and instead speeds up the video in 2x. Everything before it works though. Not sure if this feature is forgotten or unsupported now.

Steps to reproduce

  1. Open YouTube
  2. Try to slide in the MIDDLE of the screen in versions 19.29.1 and forward. You will see 2x speed.
  3. Now try to slide in the MIDDLE of the screen in prior versions. You will see it works.

✅ Yes, I can reproduce this issue in the official YouTube app from the App Store

Additional information

Yes, I have tried 19.49.7 and 20.02.3. No, it still doesn’t work.
