Having to wait 30mins+ for a show is a bit rough, especially if you're excited to see it. Live transcoding would be amazing but I have no idea how to accomplish that

-ss 0 -i "inputFile.mkv" -codec:v:0 libx264 -threads 4 -pix_fmt yuv420p -preset veryfast -crf 20 -f mp4 -movflags empty_moov pipe:1 word on the street is this may be good for live transcoding

also look into faststart movflags

incompatibilities with avconv?
