Hi @marksantcroos and @andre-merzky,

We've developed our own adaptors (starting from yours) for two clusters:

The first one is an adaptation from PBS & SLURM and the second one is an adaptation from LSF.

Do you want to add them to saga-python adaptors?
How do you want to do it? I can do a PR, but how do you want to organize it?

You can see them here:
https://earth.bsc.es/gitlab/es/autosubmit/blob/master/autosubmit/platforms/ecmwf_adaptor.py

Process: threat them as two separate PRs / issues.

Do they both warrant a new adaptor or can the changes be integrated with the existing ones?
Some context for both would be good.

Hi @andre-merzky,

I'm not sure if those adaptors are interesting for you.

On the one hand, the Marenostrum adaptor was a modified version of the LSF adaptor. However the Marenostrum supercomputer will be stopped in two weeks for an upgrade. With the upgrade, the scheduler will be changed by SLURM so I think that adding it has no sense.

On the other hand, the ECMWF adaptor could be interesting, however it depends on a third-party software, and I don't know if this requirement can be handicap for you.

You can find more in the attached link:
https://software.ecmwf.int/wiki/display/ECAC/ECaccess+Home

Thanks!

Hello @joanlopez,

I checked the ECMWF SAGA adaptor you have created and I find it pretty interesting. If you are still interested in opening that PR, I will keep this issue open.

Otherwise, I will close it as outdated.

Thank you!
