No Sound over HDMI with GIT version

I have installed the git version of the driver and the new .elf file but I just can't get the Pi to play sound on my TV.

The Audiojack works when setting it manually with

amixer cset numid=3 1

I tried a different HDMI cable but that didn't change a thing and I don't a have onther TV to test.

Did it work before you installed git versions?
What are you playing sound with?
Does /opt/vc/src/hello_pi/hello_audio produce sound ? (needs a parameter of 1 for HDMI output).

I needed to upgrade becasue of the kernel oops problem.
/opt/vc/src/hello_pi/hello_audio works only on the headphones. With the parameter I hove only silence.

Can you try hdmi_drive=2 in config.txt?
