Clean up the help for the bot and make it more helpful. #12
Comments
You're referring to the ?help display during the game? I can do something with that. Any ideas to start me out? I think adding a ?version option would be good (or displayed automatically when ?help is run), and issuing a release. IMO, that would make it easier for admins to compare which version they're running against what's available. Do you, or any other users, have thoughts on that? |
@rawsonj How do you feel about splitting off the 'display help' function to a separate .py file that I could work on? |
I've wanted to break the bot apart for a while, so I'm fine with that. |
I don't know if I was clear, but I was thinking that you would split the files, not me. If you need more time, that's fine, I just wanted to make sure there was no confusion. After the files are split, I'd be glad to expand the help. |
No worries, I know, it just takes a solid block of concentration to be able to split these up and refactor it, and I don't have that kind of time these days. I wrote this a long time ago, and the code is somewhat convoluted. |
