Snap into grid after letting go

Hi, It would be greatly appreciated if anyone could explain to me how to implement a draggable div that could snap into a nearest grid position after letting go of the drag. This is similar to the windows desktop as when you let go after moving a file it will position itself into the nearest grid. Thank you
