Can it support showing potential future end-state during dragging (i.e. other items may move)

Could one use this library to drag items around in a vertical list, but during the dragging to be able to:

A) show what the future state would look like, as you drag over a potential valid drop point
B) as this is occurring (from A above) when the other items in the list move to show potential end state (if item being dragged was dropped), that these movements are done as animations (I.e. so not instantaneously)

Any pointers/ideas re how to have this functionality would be great…
