Timer pauses when you click and hold on any menu item

Timer continues for 1 or 2 seconds when you click on any menu item in the pomodori app, but the display refresh stops. No matter how long you keep the mouse clicked down, when you release it the timer jumps ahead 1 or 2 seconds and then continues from that spot. For example if it is counting down from 24:49 and I click on the File menu and hold it for 10 seconds, the refresh of the timer will jump to 24:47 and then continue counting down from there.
