All (?) devfiles non-functional on current staging deployment

This issue is mostly for reference, and will be resolved once the upstream for rh-che is updated.

Issue problem:
The version currently deployed on staging has an out-of-date dashboard UI when creating workspaces. E.g. it still shows sample projects rather than the projects specified in devfiles (and so can cause issues since current devfiles only work with one project)

Red Hat Che version:
Current (upstream rc-3.0)

• I can reproduce it on latest official image

Reproduction Steps:

• Create a workspace (e.g. PHP-Symfony).
• Note that rather than a single, pre-selected project, you are presented with a list of all sample projects.
• Import the symfony-demo project
• Start workspace and attempt to run a command
  • Expected: Command runs
  • Actual: Command fails because project path does not match hard-coded path in command (see: Devfiles in registry should not hard-code project name (when appropriate) eclipse-che/che#13936)

• minishift (include output of minishift version)
• OpenShift.io (staging)
• Openshift Container Platform (include output of oc version)
