Dynamic routing

We have an app that monitors and controls thousands of devices and depending on the currently selected device we need to have different routes available possibly every time user selects an other device to monitor/control.
I tried upgrading to V6 ~2 years ago, but at that time v6, didn't support changing available routes dynamically. Has this changed or am I still stuck to v5?
