Provide versioning with update notifications

Expected behavior

Users should be aware of the current version of the player, as well as be made aware of release notes for each new release.

Actual behavior

Users are unaware of player version and when updates are occurring, and what changes are made with each new update.

We did have a word mark with beta in the past but we decided to removed it. Adding it back may be counter productive.

Instead, I think we should provide proper versioning with update notifications and changelogs (in a dialog/modal) or separate page.

The script responsible for prompting for refresh is https://github.com/resonatecoop/stream/blob/development/beta/src/stores/update.js

The version number was not bumped for some time. I'd like to move on to 7.0.0 as we finish the typescript conversion and merge #190.

Thank you for this context @auggod, I will amend this issue's description and title accordingly to make this about displaying the current version number.

Do you have a link to those assets that included the beta text? I would like to maybe/potentially add that logo to the splash screen to the stream-app (since the app is definitely still in beta) to temper user expectations.

I'm really not in favour of using the word 'beta' unless we want to provide different release channels (beta, stable etc...)
We used the subdomain beta (beta.resonate.is) for a while and I feel like we really don't want this anymore.

Totally understood, and I agree, we don't want to give the impression that the player isn't fully functional (it is). Thank you for your feedback @auggod!
