Hello @jorainer @michaelwitting @stanstrup - i have spent a bit of time looking at the MetaboAnnotation and CompoundDb packages, and am starting to download them and walk through the vignettes with your demo data. Excellent efforts thus far!

I was wondering whether there are, or will be, any explicit links between XCMS or CAMERA output (xcmsSet, or the MSnbase versions) and the functionality in these packages, or do you anticipate that users will be defining those links themselves?

Plans are the we integrate xcms (and then also MsFeatures <- successor of CAMERA) better. We're currently working also on additional example use cases for MS1-based annotation and there is also an additional tutorial available here.
