  • New function 'annotation_gdal()' adapted from ggspatial::annotation_map_tile() to add a simple background image via GDAL warper API. Built in OSM streetmap and Virtual earth satellite options, or use own 'dsn'.

All prior use of 'geom_from_gdal' is deprecated.
