There are currently 2 M2 holes for standoffs for an acrylic plate to cover the microcontrollers.
This is inherited from the porcupine keyboard, and I like the idea, since the MCU components are facing up on this KB. However, a 3D printed cover should also be fine, therefore, I should design a model for testing it
