HEVC is unsupported #17
Comments
Fixed in commit c680b77 |
In your config.plist You are using Skylake ig-platform and device-id which is not needed after Apple launched Mac with 7th gen cpu. I switched from Skylake spoof to Kaby Lake, which is the real name of 7th gen cpu and I got HEVC support! Maybe it could help solving your issue.. |
The Skylake spoof was part of how I got the dual monitors working originally. What app are you using to show whether HVEC is active? |
Aha! Yes I remember now that display port doesn't work on mine. The app is called VideoProc. Testing HEVC is located inside Settings -> Common -> Hardware accelerate engine. I'm dying to find out if HEVC encoding works on your laptop! |
HVEC isn't working on my machine. So that kinda sucks, as I know switching the spoof out will probably result in losing my dual monitors. |
Sad, but totally understand! I believe having dual monitors is more beneficial than HVEC. By the way, how did you fix audio on your computer? The Hackintool doesn't even detect that I have any audio card at all.. |
I'm pretty sure I just used the Hackintool patch. But if yours isn't even showing up I'm not sure how best to proceed. I know I had to go through and make sure I removed all the previous audio tweaks I'd used. In Hackintool there is instructions if you click the little i button at the bottom. Not sure if you'd gone though those steps. I know I kept the layout ID at 98, as I'd already figured that part out. |
