This repository's latest commit was from 24 Aug 2018. It looks like Slamtec has continued support at https://github.com/Slamtec/rplidar_ros (recent commit was 16 days ago, 27 Oct 2021).

I suggest this repository be deprecated, even if that means just adding a notice at the top of the readme with a link to the active repo.
