The badges hosted on shields.io time out quite often:

I switched to using badgen.net for the build badges -- so far it's been much more reliable. But badgen doesn't seem to support test result reporting on Azure.

There's lots of discussion about this on the web, but the issue seems to be resolved for most people. Alas, not for me.
