After user register and created new subdomain (sub-site), they were sent an activation email. However, the url for activation seems not using the /wp/ fix.

After you activate, you will receive *another email* with your login.

Hmmm, this is a good catch. I need to test locally. We don't use activation links so I haven't noticed this. I know it's the purpose of the plugin, but doesn't WP at least redirect to the proper URL? Or does it results in a 404 (much bigger issue)?
Also, did a little bit more research and it looks like there are some filters available now to customize the registration emails (wp_new_user_notification_email and wp_new_user_notification_email_admin): https://wordpress.stackexchange.com/a/289948
I would welcome a PR that can provide a fix to this! Or maybe if I can get some free time (haha) I'll try and get to it myself.
