This project uses quite some dependencies. Would be nice if you could add a licensing overview for those of us who would like to use it in commercial products, ie. statically linked into programs that won't have their source code disclosed.

I'm not sure what kind of overview you need. The library itself is BSD licensed and for dependencies (beside examples) it is mostly freetype that has its own BSD-like license.
