buttons not mapping where I want them

i'm using the 8BitDo zero 2 and my d-pad is doing whatever it want - regardless of what I map it for it will do something else, every time the add on is updated it all stops working as well, i have to spend another 30+ mins trying to configure it to do something, it seems to delete my settings everytime

the option to move buttons if the add-on recognises them as the wrong button doesn't work, i change them and it just resets every time
i'm on windows 11

I second this. Everytime I restart my anki, it loads my controller as "Super Nintendo" which disables my ability to have different up/down binds. I have to change my controller type and my remap profile every time I launch.

I also have issues with the D-pad mapping. Everything seems to work fine for me, but my custom actions for the D-pad don't work while reviewing. I really want to use Contanki instead of Karabiner, but I can't fully commit to this switch until this is resolved — it's too disruptive to my workflow
