It's usually not easy to get a pass report from B-C's testsuite --- but at the time of writing there is not a single pass report for B-C-1.57 with perl 5.29.x or 5.30.x, so it could be that there's a fundamental problem to get it working with the newest perl. I know. But cperl 5.30 works fine. That's the priority.
