Copy-paste stopped working on Android

On my Android phone, I can no longer paste into the code area, or make a selection. Selection on Android is done by touching a word and holding until the phone vibrates slightly, at which point a menu should appear with clipboard options. When trying to select a word in the playpen code text box, the phone vibrates to indicate that I'm making a selection, but the menu never appears.

This was definitely working a few weeks ago.

I'm using Chrome in Android 7.1.1 on Nexus 6P.
