What needs to be fixed?

Currently the WASM Book: https://rustwasm.github.io/docs/book/ is *outdated some code does not work anymore and the book is not maintained again.

That would be a pretty significant content change. Content changes are currently on hold in general, because the governance of such decisions is unclear at the moment.

So my own thoughts on the topic don't change much, but still: from quickly skimming issues, PRs and the book, it looks like npm and webpack are causing most issues. I don't think that JavaScript tooling is necessary to make wasm apps in Rust these days. See for example trunk. So my guess is that it wouldn't be that much work to get the book back in a good state.
