Shouldn't we split it into several small proposals like one mentioned by @zloirock above? There's a nice PR with Math constants, and I really like Math.clamp. As far as I can see, there's nothing that stops them from going to the next stage, but lack of spec.

It's a real shame a seemingly simple proposal is delayed by several years when vastly more complex proposals have been accepted since.

This proposal is now listed as withdrawn due to lacking a Champion since (at least) February 2024.

This is frustrating. Simple functionality that people are pulling in as yet another dependency from NPM when it could just be built in. As I said in 2021 vastly more complex features have been accepted since. What is the process of finding a new champion? Though I think it's a shame that champions are needed for obviously beneficial features.

If the proposal champion is not available or no longer interested in a proposal, then another committee delegate may volunteer to champion the proposal. From that point on, this other delegate takes over champion duties, and can propose to advance, downgrade, or withdraw the proposal.
