I'm guilty of creating this bug - I made the streams API, but I'm too busy to fix it at the moment. (Sorry.)

When the future returned by the service's starting function is completed, the streams and variables should be cleared.

I've tried fixing it in #45, but for some reason it isn't working properly. See my comment on the pull request. I'm stumped.
