Mongo::MongoArgumentError: DB#command requires an OrderedHash when hash contains multiple keys

Because you need to give it an OrderedHash:

selector = BSON::OrderedHash.new
selector['geoNear'] = 'stores'
selector['near'] = [123,456]
selector['num'] = 3
Store.database.command(selector)
